MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and released ADN as his debut full-length album. The Top Latin Albums chart ranked the album at 8. In the following year, he was a part of Ozuna for the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina the next year. Later in 2021, he performed as a duo with TINI on her streaming smash song Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 with the massively popular La Bachata. Turizo was brought up in a music-oriented environment as both his mother & his older brother are musicians. In his interviews, Turizo has declared that music is an essential part of his life. As a child, he was taught to play guitar, the piano as well as the ukulele. The first choice for his career was to be a vet However, his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he found his ability to sing and also altered the direction of his life.
