Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actor. She is famous for her role as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well in ABC's Lost TV show. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington in Ohio, dropped out of high school, and relocating into Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first acting gig as the title character in the online video show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. Her portrayal in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television film Murder in Greenwich in 2002 earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace appeared as Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. She played the lead role for two seasons, and won a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to leave the show in order to focus on her professional film work. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. The actress was as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. The same character was played by Grace on Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace was Shannon again in Lost's final episode and two other episodes. In 2013, Grace appears in Californianation, the 6th Season. She plays Faith who is both a star-gazer and socialite. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. She is a member of the Gyllenhaal clan as well as the younger sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began as a teenager with small appearances in his films. She also appeared alongside her brother in the cult favorite Donnie Darko (2001). Then she appeared in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her performances as the lead in the romantic erotic comedy drama Secretary (2002) as well as the drama Sherrybaby (2006) each of which resulted in an Golden Globe Award nomination. The actress gained more attention when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercial films that she was a part of during 2006.
